A Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
To truly be A Part of Something Bigger®, we must promote and practice diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) throughout Quanex. Our employees bring unique experience, talent, teamwork and commitment. We are in a great position to grow by leveraging those different perspectives.
Our DE&I Vision
We commit to create an open, inclusive work environment in which all employees are empowered to be themselves and to grow as A Part of Something Bigger®. We believe the diversity of our workforce makes us stronger, together.
How We Achieve Our Vision
We create a sense of belonging through learning, communication and opportunities for connection and growth.

DE&I Programs
- We offer opportunities for connection and growth through Employee Resource Groups (ERG)—ERGs offer support, enhance career development and provide opportunities for community outreach.
- We create a sense of belonging by focusing on women’s empowerment and advancement. Externally, by utilizing a partnership with Women in Manufacturing, an organization that provides educational resources and networking opportunities. Internally, we are setting goals to improve female representation in management positions.
- We ensure pay equity by designing compensation programs to be competitive based on regional market trends and best practices.
Employee Demographics
We are driving change by giving DE&I programs a home and focus within Quanex. Our goals for our DE&I programs are to ensure that our workforce reflects the diverse populations of the communities where we operate and to give equal consideration to all interested in leadership roles.
