Jamb Specifications

Quanex manufactures door jambs and window jambs in various profiles to meet any project need. Numerous surface wraps are available to provide solutions specific to project aesthetics, protection from the elements, and design.

Fingerjointed Jambs

GLUE: Water-resistant, crosslinked polyvinyl acetate emulsion adhesive. Meets WDMA Type 1 and 2 water resistance. SDS available upon request.

 

Primed Jambs

PRIMER: Water-based primer, VOC: <0.4 lb/gal

Profile Wrapped Jambs

GLUE: Adhesive is PUR (Polyurethane reactive). Type-1, moisture resistant adhesives available as determined by the application

JAMB THICKNESS: Standard thicknesses of 5/8” and 11/16”. Other thicknesses and widths available as determined by the application.

COMPLIANCE: 

  • EPA TSCA Title VI, HUD 24 CFR 3280, CCR 93120 CARB ATCM Phase 2, CAN/CSA-0160-16 (Formaldehyde Emissions)
  • ECC CPA 4-11 (Sustainability); ANSI A208.1 2016 (Physical Properties
  • Flame spread rating is class C (International Code Council – International Fire Code® and National Fire Protection
  • Association 101 Life Safety Code®) as tested to ASTM E84 and CAN/ULC-S102-10.
  • MR10 compliance with ANSI A208.1 2016 when tested according to ASTM D1037-12, 24-hour water submersion.
