The History of Quanex

Quanex has grown from a single steel manufacturer in 1927 into a global, publicly traded company serving multiple industries. Michigan Seamless Tube
1927

The Michigan Seamless Tube Company is incorporated.

1933 Tubing Production
1933

Production of tubing made from steel alloys begins.

1945

Woodcraft Industries founded by German immigrants Paul Dlugosch and Theodore Ritche in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

1956

The Company expands into Texas.

1965

Standard Tube is acquired.
