Since the 1850s, pocket doors have been an integral part of residential design, a tradition that continues to thrive today to maximize space and minimize clutter. At Quanex, we understand the importance of a hassle-free installation process. That’s why we offer pre-assembled standard pocket door frame kits in several sizes with 125# or 250# hardware, making the installation a breeze. We can also produce custom pocket door frame assemblies based on your unique specifications.
Standard specifications
- Rough opening size:
- Rough opening for a single frame is width is door width x 2 plus 2″
- Rough opening for a double converging frame is width is door width x 4 plus 2″
- Rough opening height is door height plus 4-1/2″
- Standard wall sizes are 4 9/6 & 6 9/6, custom options available
- Standard door heights are for 6/8 doors; custom heights available
- Standard door widths are 2/0 – 3/0, custom widths available
- Standard 125# hardware is included
- Upgrade to #200 is available
- Upgrade to #150 soft open/soft close is available
- Includes 3-wheel trolleys that ride in quiet aluminum jump proof track
- Removable track has keyhole mounting for easy removal and repair
Technical details
4 9/16 pocket frame accommodates doors up to 1 3/8″ thickness. 6 9/16 wall can accommodate 1 3/4″ doors. THe minimum recommended wall thickness for 1 3/4″ doors is 4 15/16″ wall thickness to maintain the recommended 11/16″ gap in the cavity to allow for any warping.
