Quanex Hires Cristina Murray as Director of Marketing, North America

HOUSTON, (NYSE: NX) – Quanex Building Products has named Cristina Murray its new North American Director of Marketing. An award-winning marketing leader, Murray has significant experience driving brand awareness and achieving market excellence in the B2B marketplace.

“We are thrilled to have Cristina on board at Quanex as our new Director of Marketing,” said Bob Daniels, President, North American Fenestration (NAF), Quanex Building Products. “Her deep experience with marketing will benefit NAF, North American Cabinet Components (NACC) and Quanex as a whole.”

Murray brings 20-plus years of marketing and branding experience to her role, with her most recent tenure at PPG Industries. During that time, she worked in a variety of capacities, including sales, business development, product development and customer service, but most enjoyed her time leading the marketing communication efforts.

 

 

“Not only is she a leader and team player, but she also brings fresh and innovative ideas to the table that we’re excited to implement across the organization,” added John Sleva, President, NACC, Quanex Building Products.

She is based out of the Akron, Ohio, offices and looks forward to traveling in the near future to meet with customers, visit site locations and attend industry events to learn more about the market and what makes it so unique.

Murray graduated from Duquesne University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and received her master’s in marketing from Franklin University. She has received a number of awards and recognition for her efforts, including in 2018, Crain’s Cleveland Business Award for Marketing; in 2017, Most Influential Women by the Women’s Industry Network; in 2014, the SEMA Businesswomen’s Network Athena Champion Award; and in 2011, she was awarded the Goodguys Woman of the Year Award.
