IG Certification

The National Fenestration Ratings Council (NFRC) and Department of Energy (DOE) demand that IG systems be certified to wear the ENERGY STAR® label. With ENERGY STAR Version 6.0 slated to go into effect in 2014 and the new Most-Efficient program, certifying now is critical.

With a limited number of labs in North America, each having a fixed number of test specimens that can be tested per 15-week period, the entire IG Certification process currently takes approximately 24 weeks, so preparing in advance is important.

Quanex can help you send your test units for certification with confidence. Contact us for expert advice on how to meet the new ENERGY STAR requirements.
