Company Overview

Quanex Building Products Corporation is a technological leader in the production of aluminum flat-rolled products, flexible insulating glass spacer systems, extruded plastic profiles, and precision-formed metal and wood products which primarily serve the North American building products markets. We use low-cost production processes, and engineering and metallurgical expertise to provide customers with specialized products for specific applications. Our growth strategy is focused on protecting, nurturing and developing our core building products businesses, introducing new innovative product lines, and pursuing expansion through acquisition of companies that produce similar products and serve similar or adjacent building products markets in North America, Europe and Asia.

We operate in two reportable business segments: Engineered Products and Aluminum Sheet Products.

Engineered Products

The Engineered Products segment is comprised of six fabricated metal components operations, two facilities producing wood fenestration (door and window) components, four polyvinyl chloride (PVC) extrusion facilities, a flexible insulating glass spacer operation and a facility that produces automated equipment for assembling insulating glass units. The segments' operations produce window and door components for original equipment manufacturers, or OEMs, that primarily serve the residential construction and remodeling markets.
